Work has been shown in design books and publications such as Revival of the Fittest: Digital Versions of Classic Typefaces edited by Roy McKelvey - Philip B. Meggs, Graphic Design Sources: Drawing From… by Kenneth J. Heibert, Communication Arts magazine and Graphic Design USA magazine.
Garfinkel-Gold was educated at the Rhode Island School of Design (1980-1982), New York University, (BFA, Film 1984) and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (BFA, Graphic Design, Summa Cum Laude, 1994), where she received a nomination for the Alexander Award, a university-wide award based on academic achievement and talent, as well as an award for excellence in graphic design upon graduation.
